NIH 5th Geroscience Summit: Revisiting the Geroscience Hypothesis – Focus on Health
December 2 @ 8:00 am – December 3 @ 5:00 pm CST
Geroscience is an interdisciplinary field focused on the discovery and translation of methods and interventions targeting pathways involved in the biology of aging to prevent, minimize, or reverse chronic diseases and functional decline that frequently occur in older individuals. NIH supports the field of geroscience through research funding, educational/training opportunities, and the longstanding NIH Geroscience Interest Group (GSIG). The GSIG includes staff members from several NIH Institutes and Centers and develops scientific and educational events for the community.
The Fifth Geroscience Summit: Revisiting the Geroscience Hypothesis – Focus on Health will be held on December 2-3, 2026, and will bring together academic and industry researchers with clinicians and other groups invested in geroscience to examine recent progress and identify important knowledge gaps. The summit agenda includes eight sessions during which speakers will provide their high-level perspectives and share ideas for how to move the field forward.
