International AIDS Society: Person-Centered Care Research Collaborative

November 20 @ 1:00 pm 2:30 pm CST

IAS – the International AIDS Society – is pleased to invite you to the next meeting of the Person-Centred Care Research Collaborative, titled “Ageing and HIV”.

The collaborative convenes researchers, clients and healthcare providers from around the world to explore evidence on person-centred care (PCC) approaches for people living with HIV or vulnerable to HIV acquisition.

During the meeting, we encourage you to share any planned or ongoing research that strengthens PCC evidence. The theme of this meeting is: Research to reality – Improving care for older adults living with or affected by HIV. The objectives are to examine the evidence base and identify research gaps in the management of HIV, non-communicable diseases and other health needs to support the quality of life of the growing cohort of older people living and ageing with HIV. Presenters will provide an overview of the latest context-specific screening tools and effective interventions to delay the onset of, and treat, frailty, non-communicable diseases and cognitive impairment, including gender-specific considerations. There will also be an opportunity to preview the findings of the Lancet HIV Commission on Ageing and HIV.
