Mental Health, Inflammation, and NeuroDegeneration in Alzheimer’s Disease (MIND-AD)
The MIND-AD (Mental Health, Inflammation, and NeuroDegeneration in Alzheimer’s Disease) Research Workgroup brings together leading Gulf Coast Consortium experts in Alzheimer’s disease to foster collaboration, share data and resources, and advance groundbreaking preclinical and clinical research. By joining, members can contribute to innovative studies, facilitate the creation of multi-institutional teams for collaborative grant submissions to agencies such as NIH, DPRIT, DoD, and the Alzheimer’s Association, and engage in community partnerships with patients, caregivers, and advocacy groups. The workgroup also promotes secure, interoperable data integration and sharing to harmonize datasets, and invests in training and capacity building through mentorship, interdisciplinary training, and early-career support, working collectively toward making a lasting impact in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
