SUMMARY:Biological Psychiatry and Single Cell Omics Networking Symposium
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to this networking event jointly sponsored by the Clusters for Single Cell Omics and Mental Health Research/Biological Psychiatry workgroup. With the increasing importance of applying single cell omics technologies in studying the complex system such as the brain\, this event will provide an opportunity for faculty to get together to discuss collaborative projects/proposals focused on addressing health issues of interest to both clusters.  Registrants are encouraged to present short rapid-fire introductions and submit profile slides that will be archived on the website and made available in advance.

SUMMARY:GCC Biological Psychiatry Workgroup and SCO Networking Symposium
DESCRIPTION:The Gulf Coast Consortia is pleased to invite you to a networking event jointly sponsored by the Clusters for Single Cell Omics and Mental Health Research/Biological Psychiatry workgroup. With the increasing importance of applying single cell omics technologies in studying the complex system such as the brain\, this event will provide an opportunity for faculty to get together to discuss collaborative projects/proposals focused on addressing health issues of interest to both clusters. \n\n\n\nThe Biological Psychiatry workgroup focuses on mechanisms (pharmacological\, molecular\, etc.) of behavior related to neuropsychiatric conditions (broadly defined). The group relies on basic science projects with the goal of translating findings to the clinic\, so translational and clinical researchers are encouraged to participate\, as these scientists will bring complementary expertise. The Single Cell Omics Cluster shares common interests in developing and applying single cell omics technologies to a broad range of biological questions. Expertise of the cluster ranges in genomics\, bioengineering\, statistics\, and computational biology\, and biomedical science. Investigators in all areas interested in the intersection between neuropsychiatric and single cell omics are encouraged to participate.
